Hollywood Bowl

Well the temperatures have certainly jumped, this bought about my first sport climbing day of the year this weekend. In search of shady climbing I went to the Hollywood Bowl near Giggleswick on Yorkshire Limestone. I have only been to have a look and not actually climbed there before, having always climbed at Giggleswick South in the past.
The Bowl is an impressive piece of rock, and is aptly named. It is a properly bowl shaped cave with tufa starts and some steep climbing. Routes that were being climbed on (ie dry and clean) by myself and others were; Seconds Choice 7a, Kleptomania 8a, Illywacker 7b+ and Sunset Boulevard 7c. Some of the other routes looked like they could do with a bit more traffic though.
