Ueli Steck of Eiger Nordwand speed record fame, races up the MacIntyre/Colton route on the North Face of the Grandes Jorasses. The quality of the snow ice does looks amazing on the ice runnel pitches but if you were ever so slightly underwhelmed by that, wait until he hits the mixed climbing near the top; now that does look really frightening without a rope.
